how often do boys and girls indulge in sex in usa before 18 years and how open are they about sexual relationships

America is very diverse. So, I guess this is who you ask. Statstics say about 50% of kids are doing it. But when you are in high school it feel like a lot more. If you are homeschooled, or come from a more morally conservative family, you are probably less likely to be engaging in sexual relationships. I know several people in college that have signed puirty pledges. But, then there are plenty of kids who are open and into sex.
Americans sexual ideas are most likely as diverse as out population -- and that is quite diverse.

In my OPINION, and I'm no sociologist, the general perception of sexuality in the USA puritanical in nature. The GENERAL consensus of americans is that sex is reserved for married, same-sex partners, and that it should not deviate from anything beyond the basic man-on-top. This is because America is GENERALY Christian, and the afore-mentioned social mores are Christian. Of cource many people deviate from this norm. I don't think any parent really wants their child to be sexually active before the age of 18, but when faced with the reality that their child is having sex, will handle the situation, and get the child protection (condoms, birth-control). I'd say at least 60% of minors have participated in some kind of sexual activity before reaching 18 (especially oral-sex, which is become very acceptable in youth culture). I think youth are open with their peer group about their sexual activity, but do their best to hide it from their parents. Again, all these statements are in GENERAL.

It all depends what type of person you are??? Like me for instance in high school I was in a party crew and I had sex with 16 girls before I turend 18... And in the school I went it was a very open topic.....

It's all about attitude; i don't think as many kids have sex as we want to think.
I have hear that girls wear special bracelets so that boys know what type of sex to expect from that girl without even asking her.
It's like advertising yourself-cheaply, I'd say.

Younger people are very open to sex and are in relationships less frequently than 20 years ago. THey "hook up"
