Write a five-paragraph essay defending or critiquing the laws as they regard “Quid Pro Quo” and “Hostile Environment.” These are the two laws most often used to prosecute sexual harassment cases. You are allowed to include subjects not related to these two areas but they should only have a minor part in your paper.
tell me what you guys think about this?

This is what I have so far.....
As defending the laws of “Quid Pro Quo” and “Hostile Environment”, what do they mean? What is their purpose in the criminal justice system and to the everyday person? The definition of “Quid pro quo” is where the victim in the work place or school, is harassed by for example: A mans boss tells him that if he doesn’t sleep with him or her, they wont get promoted and possibly fired, whether if its willing or not.

Let your first paragraph be the introduction, and the last paragraph be the conclusion.
Read about sexual harassment here (it talks about both "quid pro quo" and "hostile environment":
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_harrasment
Write your first paragraph summarizing each law.
See if you agree with the laws or not.
If you agree, write a paragraph on why for each law.
If you disagree, write a paragraph on why for each law.
Summarize your position in the conclusion.
Get the readers attention in the introduction, and preview your main points.

take a deep breath and scribble down (or type) everything fast that you can think of on the topic for five minutes without stopping; don't worry about punctuation or misspelling or anything and don't stop. Then take a break, read what you wrote, decide what you found most interesting and do the same thing for five minutes on that specific idea. Then organize the five paragraphs like this: a brief introduction to what you think, a 'nut' paragraph that sums up what you think, two paragraphs that explain why and one that either gives an opposite point of view or predicts what will happen next. It's easier than you think! good luck and stop reading the tips here and start typing!

I find most of my info by Yahoo and Google searching. Suggest you search "sexual harassment quid pro quo" and "sexual harassment hostile environment" These searches should give you a terrific bibliography. Also it will help if you learn to spell harassment correctly all the time, especially in titles.

An essay is a short work of writing that treats a topic from an author's personal point of view. Essays are non-fictional but often subjective; while expository, they can also include narrative. Essays can be learned arguments, literary criticism, political manifestos, observations of daily life, recollections and reflections of the author.
The definition of an essay is vague, overlapping with those of an article and a short story. Almost all modern essays are written in prose, but works in verse have been dubbed essays (Alexander Pope's An Essay on Criticism and An Essay on Man). While today an essay is partly defined by its brevity, voluminous works like John Locke's An Essay Concerning Human Understanding and Thomas Malthus's An Essay on the Principle of Population refer to themselves using the term.

Sexual harassment, just like rape is not about sex. It is about controlling and demeaning another person. There are some great resourced on the internet for researching this further. Here are two of the best:

sexual harassment begins
when the law tells 14-16yo kids
it's ok for them to consent to sex,
like in iowa, missouri, s.carolina
and most other states.

I think you should get to work on your essay, and stop wasting time on the computer.
Did you know that when they asked Clarence Thomas to use the word "harassment" in a sentence, he said, "Her *** meant nothing to me. It was her **** I was attracted to."
