I wonder if EATING less might have anything to do with it, you know, since lack of self-control has been labeled a "disease"

Do you think eating less work for the people in concentration camps?
Did they continue to keep the pounds on, and continue gaining weight? A strict diet seemed to work for them, or maybe human beings back 50-60 years ago were just 'different'?

Eating less plays a factor to weight loss.

In concentration camps, not only are the people deprived of nutritional food, they are also required to do strenuous amounts of manual labor of which many dieters neglect to do. Emotional ties towards camps also leave refugees fatigued and physically and mentally drained--that may also contribute to weight loss.

So two things are a given. Restrict the intake of food and get those legs moving to actually burn off fat.

Now that you mention it, a concentration camp for overweight people would be more effective than Jenny Craig.

I don't understand fad diets. Everyone knows how to lose weight but they are always looking for the easy way out.

Here is how you lose weight:
Eat less calories than you spend.
Cut out most saturated and trans fat and don't eat so much sugar
Start an exercise routine
