A size 34C would measure 3.5 inches from the bottom of the breast to the center/nipple. This varies for different band sizes though. If I was a 34 I would wear a C cup, but because my back is a size 30 I now wear a DD cup, the DD and the C cup are the same size but because my back is smaller, the cup size increases. The cup sizes aren't universal. It depends on the size of the persons back. Another example. A person that is a 38C would NOT have the same cup size (in inches) as a person wearing 34C. A 38C would be a 34DD.

In the case where the band size stays the same, the difference in cup size is between .5" and 1". Typically, if you measure 2.5" your best size to wear would be a C. It's better if the cup size is a little too big rather than too small because you grow into them throughout your life. You can gain as much as 1 cup size durring your period, and the actual size of your breast can change as much as 5 times in a persons lifetime. What you wear now might not fit you in a few years.

I believe that humans throughout time are relying too heavily on technology (not just television and computers but other conveniences as the microwave and things that have separated us from apes) and that because of this, we are getting bigger. We don't hunt our food anymore. We buy it precooked at grocery stores and microwave it. I also think that the human diet has a horrendous imbalance that has given mankind an unfair slope towards obesity. Some combat it. Some don't. Just look at the environment. One cannot expect everything to stay the same with cows being injected with hormones so they produce more milk and so chickens will lay more eggs and get plumper. This is one of the reasons why I would rather eat raw foods if my family were willing. Plastic surgery is also something to consider as it is one of the great technological advances. Now, all a woman with a flat chest has to do is marry rich and get implants. I would not go for this as I already have natural C cups and I do not consider them blessings or nuisances (although sometimes my back aches). I think I was made this way for a reason so I won't change. But I want to say 'yes' to all of your questions even though I think there could be additional reasons outside of my own answers.

The letter is the cup size. It is the difference between the measurement around your rib cage below the breast and the measurement around the breasts. A= 1", B= 2", C = 3" and so on.

They stand for the cup sizes. There is about a 1 inch difference between each cup size. the cup size is the difference in inches between the band size (which is the measure around the upper rib cage) and the bust measurement at the fullest part. HTH : )

This is due to the difference between the breasts' length and the length of your rib cage just below your breasts. (in inches)

1 inch: A
2 inches: B
3 inches: C

the letter represents the cup (as in bra cup) size. like if u ask a woman her bra size she would say something like 36c. the 36 is the measurement around her breast area and the letter c would be her cup size. i hope that answers the question

the larger the letter, the larger the breast size. numbers in bra sizes indicate the measurement around the rib cage just under the bust, the letters indicate actual breast size.
