The thing is im worried about giving my details and then they take money from me and i dont get the product.... also i dont want there to be any hidden costs either because like there wre things on it for only £0.02 and ending bid time was like only 10 mins. So what are your thoughts is it ok or is it too risky? tnx to whoever answers :)

it's really safe. you are protected to a certain degree. They also really get on a person if they try to commit fraud.

so yeah, its safe

I shop on EBAY all the time. I have had times where I have purchased something and either did not get it or I got it and it was not what the description said. I am assuming your talking about buying a purse. You have to be careful because there are a lot of fakes out there. BUT ebay has a lot of buyer protection. If you buy something and there turns out to be a problem, you can file a case and you can get your money back. It is a process that takes a few weeks, but it is better than nothing. I recommend that you read the listing clearly and ask the seller any questions you have before buying. If it seems ok....than do it.

I shop on Ebay all the time and have had very good experiences with the sellers there. You can check the particular seller's feedback and see what kind of record they have with their past sales and that will give you an idea of whether they can be trusted or not. The only other cost there might be besides the final auction price is the shipping cost. Make sure to check that out before you bid. Good LucK!!!

Never shop from someone who has a low percentage of positive answers. I never shop from sellers who have less than 99.0% positive feedback. Always read the feedback before you bid. Also, be sure to read the entire page for shipping, shipping insurance, acceptable payment methods, etc.

Also, you have to remember that eBay is an auction site. So at any given time, you may be competing to win the same item.

I hope that helped. I wish I could help you more. Too bad you didn't include the link to what you wanted to buy.

Good luck.

I buy from eBay ALL the time! Over 500 items in fact. Yes, you find things really cheap sometimes with a starting bid of only a penny. People have bulk items or just have a house/store full of stuff that they HAVE to get rid of. I have found things, new with tags, for a dollar sometimes. I have only been scammed twice in the seven years that I have been an active eBay member. If that happens, file a fraud complaint with them. They WILL get to the bottom of it. I would say go ahead and get that bag! :)

I do ebay and I never had any trouble. The thing is to look at the seller's feedback in their profile and check to see what country the item is coming from. Any kind of crazy far off country don't deal with. It could be a scam. but anything else ought to be alright. Never send cash, money order, or check! PayPal is the preference that way your money can be recovered if something bad does happen, though I doubt it.

there are no hidden fees, except the delivery charges... make sure u ask the seller how much will it cost in total to ship the product to your place..
As far as the risk of paying, check the sellers reputation, u should find it on his page at the top right in the form of a percentage.. check how many transactions he did on ebay before, and how did others that bought from him comment on the business.. if he has like a 99% positive comments, then it should be safe to deal with them.. watch out for people with 0 comments... good luck

Ebay is a tricky thing. You need to make sure to check shipping charges. Sometimes people charge .02 for an item but charge 50.00 for shipping.

Second it is safe to pay on e bay but remember to ALWAYS use paypal. They are very secure and you can dispute charges.

Only buy from buyers with good standing. 98% and up feedback rating. This insures that your seller is legit.

Good Luck and happy bidding.

Ebay is great if you know how to safe guard yourself.
You can do that by checking the user's rating, that is usually next to the seller's name. The more they sell, and the more positive feedback they get, the more legit they are.
If you are buying then all you have to pay for is the final bidding price, shipping and handling, and insurance if optional.

Only hidden charges are changes for selling things.

Also, use paypal, it's safe and secure.

I have been using Ebay for years. I have never had a problem personally. Open a paypal account, it is secure for transactions. Don't give personal credit information over the internet. Send the bag to your office if you prefer not to give out your personal address. For 4.99, take the risk. EBay is a great way to shop.

Anytime you order anything on line you take a risk. I've only had one problem with a seller on e-bay over the past couple of years, and that was a long while back. You should be fine. I did have a dispute back in February but between e-bay and pay-pal, I got my money back.
