Tell her you feel uncomfortable (if you do) not wearing one. Even if you may not have much in the way of breasts, that doesn't mean you don't need support. I've seen girls as young as 5 wearing bras. Now at that age I think it's a bit ridiculous, but I remember when I was 9 or 10 I started wearing them. Not because I wanted one, but because my mom noticed I needed one. Maybe your mom doesn't see it that way. Still tell her you think you need one.

Why not tell her the truth? Find a time at home when there are no distractions.
"Mom, I'm embarressed at having to change during p.e. in fron tof other girls without any bra on. I don't feel comfortable showing me bare chest, and I don't like having to wear my jumper to try to hide my chest."
Don't make it an issue where you want to be like every other girl, but instead make it sound like it's a modesty issue. Then ask about training bras or even an undershirt.

You might tell her that your friends wear bras, and ask her when she thinks the proper time to start wearing one is. She might think it's a sign you're growing up and she might be uncomfortable with that idea, but if you promote it as a sign of modesty (trying to keep everything in its proper place, after all!) and not being 'fast' or trying to act too grown-up, she may react better. She might be wanting to keep you as a child a bit longer. Or do you have an aunt or older sister or even grannie you'd be comfortable speaking to about it, so they can advocate for you?

i had the same problem just say i need to go underwear shopping and if she says ok ask to go to m&s and get fitted its not scary at all its fine they tell u your size and get u bras to try on. its better to have a a really well fitted bra than have saggy boobs when your older.
there is a range in marks and sparks called angel they arent underwired and are so comfy
la senza do good bras as well and do free fittings.
hope this helps loads
good luck

Tell her you feel embarassed when you are wearing a thin top because you think that it shows through. She doesn't have to get you a sophisticated bra, just a nice cotton teen bra in a pretty colour. Im sure she will give in if you ask her nicely.

Well, I am a man so I have never had your problem, but anyway what I would do if I were you, is save up and buy my own bra, wear it, then tell my mum it's my bra, would she mind washing it for me? If she said she did mind, then I'd say, okay, I will wash it myself.
Hope you get what you want, and I hope I have helped.

is your mom easy to talk to? mine wasn't. I can't remember anyone buying me a bra ever. I am large on top to boot. She kind of ignored me. If you can't ask your mom, then go to the school nurse or school counselor. I have made it my mission in life for my daughter to be open and honest with me about anything that concerns bras, panties, or that time of the month, so she won't feel like she is left out to hang.

well if your mom thinks you don't need one then you might not. but if it would make you feel more comfortable, tell her that. if you are uncomfortable talking to her, try emailing her. thats what i do when i don't want to talk to her about something because its embarassing. thats what i did when i wanted to start wearing a bra and start going out with boys and when i got my period. its so easy. she will talk to you about it later but it will at least take some off the pressure off.
hope this helps!
