It could very well be in the porcelin, which means you won't be getting it out. There is one more product you can try, and you can get it at a hardware store sometimes, or like Home Depot. It's called 'Sun' - it is a porcelin cleaner that acts almost like bleach, but eats a little deeper. If you can manage to find it - just remember it may be liquid, but it is very caustic, don't get it on you or anything but the porcelin. It may not work to completly remove the ring, but it will make an improvment.
Good luck.

Here are some homemade solutions:
* Try a paste of lemon juice and borax. Allow the paste to set before scrubbing away.
* Pour a little white vinegar into the toilet bowl, let it stand for an house, then brush and flush.
* Another environment friendly toilet cleaner is vitamin C. Depending on how bad the stain is, simply place 2 or 3 tablets in the water. Let stand for 2 or 3 hours, then flush.
Whoooooosh!

Usually when stains in toilets don't go away the problem is either:
a) You're not scrubbing with an abrasive enough scrubber, or you're just not scrubbing hard enough. (It really takes a lot of elbow grease if it's that dirty!)
b) You need a much more heavy-duty cleaning product. Plumbing supply stores sell a product that is much stronger than what you can buy at a regular store.
c) The finish of the porcelain is damaged and your toilet needs replacing if you want it to sparkle.
To avoid this in the future, do not throw cigarette butts in the toilet, quick-clean the toilet daily or every other day, and clean thoroughly (combination of elbow-grease & cleaning products) weekly. The more people use the toilet routinely, the more often it has to be cleaned. Good luck.

There a couple of things that you can try.
* The new Mr. Clean "Erasers" are fab! It'll take some elbow grease but worth the clean look.
* CLR is an agent to get rid of rust. That may be the problem. (Make sure that you are well ventilated if you choice this way.)
* If all else fails, pour a can of Coke in the toilet and let it sit for about 10 minutes. It has so much acid it in that it eats away at the problem. Make sure and not use any other cleaning agent with the Coke. Can be dangerous to mix those two.
Good luck!!

What you have is mineral deposits. The easiest way to get rid of them is by using a Puma Stone. (You can buy these at Wal-Mart or K-Mart or any other store with a good cleaning selection).
Wet the stone with water and rub it on the ring. It will come right off with a little elbow grease.
Every so often, you'll see the ring to appear again... All you need to do is get that Puma Stone out again! :)
I'm dead serious.. this is the only way to get that ring off. Toilet cleaners won't touch it, neither will acid...
Have fun!

The yellow toilet bowl ring is made up of uric acid crystals. It is impossible to remove with toilet bowl cleaners.
Scrubbing with a pumice stone is most likely the best way to remove this.

My husband is a plumber - he uses muratic acid to get rid of built up scale. Just be careful - it is highly toxic. DON’T use abrasive cleaners! Use white vinegar or muriatic acid to clean the bowl. White vinegar is safer, but takes longer. Muriatic acid can clean a toilet bowl within minutes. Be careful though. I would put it in the tank to dillute it with the water.

A cleaner called Kaboom...comes in a purple bottle. It is powder that sets in your toilet for like 10 mins. or whatever the label says. I am not sure why those other products wouldn't work though. Vinegar works great for a cleaning. Works great on soap scum also... maybe try that?! Good luck.

if all else fails, get yourself some rubber gloves and a pumice stone.
Not the pumice stones designed for beauty but the grey rough ones designed for cleaning. you will have to rub the stone on the stain until it dissapears. It will come off quite easily. The best place to find a pumice stone is usually a hardware store, but some groceries have them in the cleaning aisle.
