I used Confirm Clearly pregnancy tests, and my doc took a blood test so we know I'm not pregnant. Has anyone else had this problem? Or does anyone know why this may have happened?

you may still have some leftover pregnancy hormones, so the home pregger tests would pick up. The blood test actually measures the level of those hormones, they are probably too low to be considered pregnant.

On of my friends in school received a positive home pregnancy test. She then made an appointment w/ the doctor and found out she was not pregnant.
The doctor explained that stress and hormones would cause a test to read negative.
If you are suffering from postpardum then more than likely you are stressed and this could make the test read incorrectly.

I used confirm clearly and got 5 positive results but wasn't pregnant. Your old hormones could be setting it off. But hey my oldest was 2 months old when I found out I was pregnant again, so it is possible

blood tests are the true pregnancy tests. I would guess that because you are so close to just having a baby that this is what is throwing off the store bought test. I personally do not use store bought tests. When it comes to something as important as babies, I want deffinate 100% accurate results.

hormones changing can give you false readings.. I'm sorry.. It can cause yet more stress.. But be careful. I was thinking it wasn't pregnancy and guess what.. I had my second son.. 10 months later.. so, either way.. use protection to avoid all of the above..

You've probably still got the hormones that the test reacts to circulating in your system from your last pregnancy.

the answer to your question could be because of your hormones changing because of the postpartum and because of stress

you'll still have hormones left over, especially if you're breastfeeding.
