I think it's cool to have your first love effect. What I don't understand is if you are best friends than why is it so hard to ask her out? If I was your age again then I would just wanna hang out like at the movies or go to the arcade and just chill together, trust me at your age that is all you need to do. After that, then there is more feelings but none to where it will mess up your friendship cause all you did is the same thing that you always do "HANGOUT AND CHILL"!!!!!!!

If you are truly best friends, then I would simply tell her that your feeling towards your relationship have taken a new angle and that you would like to take her out. Honestly, what is the worst that she could say: NO? Like I said, if you are truly best friends, then it will not change things all that much.
Honesty is the best policy. When people say that, theres so much truth in that statement.

Kid, you are NOT IN LOVE with this girl. Being in love requires maturity (which at 13, you DO NOT possess). Let''s say you like this girl a lot. I can almost guarantee that after you have dated her a few times (if that happens), you will not be so infatuated with her. You are still a kid and kids have no business running around making silly statements like "I am in love." You aren't. Concentrate on school and sports and hobbies. Ask her out, but you have plenty of time to be,uh, in love.
