i was drivind my 02 f150 with the cruise on and heard a squeal i touched the clutch it went away for a few minutes it did it again and my throw out bearing seized i had the clutch job done and since then i have no cruise any help would be appreciated i even took it back and they couldnt find the problem it has a 6 cyl 5 speed overdrive thanks alot

sounds like a vacumm line was left disconnected. i would bring back to the mechanic and tell him to fix.

Is it FACTORY cruise control?
Two places to look
1) Be certain that the VSS is still connected and that the circuit to the PCM is actually there. This MAY require a scanner, not a code reader. A scanner will allow the tech to read live data so that he knows what the computer "sees".
2) Is the pedal at the same position? If the pedal has changed position the cruise interrupt may not be aligned correctly and is telling the PCM that you have your foot on the clutch or brake.

I would check the linkage to the throttle body from the cruse vacuum unit. If they replaced the clutch they might have disconnected it thinking it kink down linkage.
