go to ur control panel ,in there is a icon that says add/remove programs, in there is a way to pull up all installed programs and you can remove it there

OH yea...been there done that!!!
You have to go to Norton's website ( or google Norton uninstall tool) and find their "special" uninstall tool to completely remove the programming...otherwise it leaves a bunch of sh*t behind that can effect any other program you try to install after it for security...That's the main reason I never used Norton again for anything...that and the once a month update...
Kaspersky updates every 3 hours and keeps up with the viruses and Trojans as they are releast!!!

Trying to unistall older version of Norton and replacing it with 2006 version. Cannot delete all files and therefore unable to install newer version.

The tool is the best answer. But hey, there is still a bunch of SH*% in the registry if you look even after the tool.

Norton sucks. Sorry that you had the misfortune. It takes me about an hour and a half to get rid of everything. I can get rid of most viruses in about an hour. Which is worse?
