I went to go get lunch just now and there were like 3 or 4 people with SUV's and big trucks taking up more than one park. If you can't park go to the end of the parking lot were no one is.

I understand if you don't want someone to hit your car, but just do like my husband does and park at the very end of the lot were no one is. These are people that just can't park that I'm talking about.

No. Much depends on where you live. I'm in southeast Texas and parking spaces seem to be bigger here than they were when I lived in California, so there's plenty of room for everyone. In Cali it seems that about half the parking spots are given over to "compact" vehicles, and it's impossible to squeeze a large pickup, van, or SUV into one so those vehicles will often take two so they don't have to park a block or more away. There are very few compact spaces here in this corner of Texas, but many people own farms & ranches here and they drive large vehicles as a matter of need rather than style. I also noticed that in Cali people with compacts would complain if a large vehicle took two spaces, even if there were plenty of other compact spaces available for them to park in, just for the sake of complaining even though they weren't inconvenienced in any way. It's all in how you look at it. Were you inconvenienced, and did you have to park far out of your way due to the SUVs? And for those people who advocate deliberately scratching someone else's paint out of frustration, do you honestly think it's fair to cause hundreds of dollars in damage to another car just because you had to park another row or two over? Respect is a two-way street. If I see someone "keying" my truck I'll "bumper" their car, and my bumper can do a lot more damage than any key.

Absolutely....especially when you are running late and there are no parking spaces for miles!!! The worst is when you see an average car that didn't take the time to park correctly and it takes up 1 1/4 of their parking space. I know someone who put gum in the keyhole of a car once, I don't think that is right...but it would certainly make you feel better!!!

I find that sports cars take up those two spaces more than a SUV. I see that SUV's take up two spaces because the driver can't park it right.

My philosophy is if you can't park a big car, then don't drive one! I drive an SUV but i never take up 2 parking spots.

I think anyone taking up 2 car spaces is rude. Especially those people with the little itty bitty sports cars.
