I don't see a big change in America's mindset.
Bush won with 51% of the vote and he currently has 46% approval rating.
How fast would you admit that you made a mistake when you supported an idiot that sent 2600 of our finest young men and women to die and 30,000 to be seriously wounded? And nobody knows which of his reasons for sending them are true... if any. And he did it with no idea of how to stop sending more and more.

Americans are so fickle...
Depending on what source you rely on, you can find anything to bolster your position.
Kerry was not a good candidate nor do I feel he ever will be. He promised everything to everyone...which spells out nobody's getting anything. I cant vote for someone with that sort of flexibility because in the long run, nobody's satisfied. At least with "W" you know what you've got- like it or not. I dont want a poll-driven President, I want a leader- dont care what party (to an extent).

Who would have been a better president for the 2004 election when "W" was criticized for Iraqi Freedom? John Kerry? He publicly said that he would forgive the terrorists for the attacks of 9/11? What kind of president is that, forgiving people who took thousands of innocent lives?

I disagree with the assumption that it took people very long at all. I never voted for him. I knew he was the devil from day 1, along with a lot us other 'libs. How can you admire a man who stands on an aircraft carrier under a banner reading "Mission Accomplished", and declaring an end to major combat in Iraq -over 3 years ago! How'd that war to get them "weapons of mass destruction" go anyway? I haven't heard much about it lately. Guess we're winning.

The un-conditional trust you all have in your President is en-shrined in your culture. You need to change that. Sort that out. Ask questions. Don't flag-wave and smile blankly all the time.

Dont include me in your collective statement of "people". The people who were against him now were against him before.

how is he a mistake?
that's just it... you state this as if it is a foregone conclusion. if he's a mistake, why do we leave him in office? acknowledging a mistake is not the same as rectifying it or learning from it, and that is what we need to do. that is what a democracy must be prepared for when leaders fail.
you demonstrate what you criticize in your own question.
