she looks like a model or mention how beautiful she is...in a joking manner everyone thinks its funny and not take her so seriously, but when a girl that some may consider Pretty or very attractive say the same thing in the same way, we think she is being stuck up or conceded or think that she might actually believe it..So we think it’s not as funny...

Because the heavier or not so pretty girl is making fun of herself in a joking matter; she is being down to earth about it. I find people feel more comfortable around someone who can joke about themselves. However, the pretty ones when they say it sound egotistical and they want more approval, and people do not like being forced to hand over a compliment. It's kind of sad I think when they are seeking that approval. I am an attractive women, maybe not the thinnest, but I poke fun at myself all the time about being a big girl and I find people warm up to you better when you poke fun at yourself. However, if one is seeking praise, you kind of feel sorry for them.

People don't get irony or sarcasm as much as one would think. When an overweight, "not so attractive" girl jokes about being pretty, there is a big "disconnect" between what she actually looks like to people and what she is saying. And so people get it. But if there is little or no disconnect, people are not going to get the point, if there is one.

People can get away with certain things if they are included. A poor person can talk about being poor. A rich person would not be taken seriously. A black person can use the n-word. A white person cannot.

Heavy women are as beautiful as their slimmer peers but it is not taken as seriously as when a more trim women says it. It is good when anyone feels good enough about themselves that they can make there own compliment.

They can just because of their looks many people gudge them and everyone is just similar but fater and thats no reason to judge some of them can even become your best friend you never now
