What is the very best free downloadable program to detect AND REMOVE viruses from my pc? I have a program which will show me where they are so I deleted all but two I think, the other two I go to delete the program and it tells me to make sure the disk is not full or the program not in use but it isnt listed as a process in use when I got to the Ctrl+Alt+Delete menu. I'm running Windows XP if thats any help. If any more details are needed about my system I can give them...

I use AVG and have never had any problems. It always removes the junk it finds...and it's free.

You can scan online for a quick free way at Panda run a search for Panda Scan it will come up for now.

After that AVG BLast Freeware is a decent antivirus removal program. If want to pay try BitDefender or steal it from a torrent site.

Kaspersky Anti Virus works tight on my pc. Its Russian based developer and there is a 1 month free trial i recommend you check it out.

Avast Personal is a really good one and it's completely free... They also offer other virus removal tools that you can use if regular Avast doesn't work.. Which really isn't very often. It has always worked for me.
