It really depends on her. Some women are very private birthers, others work better with a lot of support around them. This is one of those times when it's really all about her and what makes her the most comfortable. A laboring woman who is feeling stressed will often have a longer, more painful labor as her body reacts to that stress. I'd respect her wishes, whatever they are.
If you're not there because you're in school . . . well, you do have a life and that happens. ;)
And congratulations, auntie!

Extended family being present for the birth of a baby is a new concept. Not to long ago dads weren't even allowed in the delivery room. Your sister will be too focused on the moment to really be upset/bothered by you not being there. Go and spend time with the new family when you have a break from school and let mom and dad have some private time to bond with the new arrival.

No, if you are far away, send her a card and your love. If you are nearby, visit as soon as possible. The baby shouldn't be exposed to that many people in the first 6 weeks because it is building up its immunity. So you're perfectly fine.

school is very important. Go visit afterward. This is a tough time for her to have visitors anyway. I would suggest waiting until after the baby comes and mabey grab her a coke on the way. (i was so happy when my aunt brought me a coke)Or her favorite drink, food(MC. Donald's?) She will be glad to see you after the baby.

do u have to give her air to breathe to give birth? ofcourse its not wrong. u cant help it that u are at school and at her side. and if u're worrying that there wont be a bound between u and the baby then there's no need for that. the child will get used to u when u begin to spend time with them

No Its not wrong if youre not there. You have other things to do and she should understand that. You can however go and visit after she has the baby!

No, you don't need to be there at her birthing (trust me, she probably doesn't want you there). Just go after school.
