I am so tired of using up all of these plastic shopping bags- even though I recycle them. Where can I find totes to use instead that maybe come in a set or lot of several? I tried E-bay but didn't have much luck.

I will go to thrift stores & look for canvas totes if I can't find any, just thought it would be easier to not have to look all over.

Call around to some of the companies in your area that sell bags and other packaging materials to stores. I'm not sure if they'll sell in small quantities, but they could at least redirect you to who would. In my area, many grocery stores are now selling canvas bags with their logo on it for about $2 per bag plus you get a "bonus" coupon booklet with the purchase of a bag. Make sure none of your local grocery stores aren't doing that too (this was poorly advertised in my area and I'd bet that most people still don't know about it) -- call or ask at their customer service counter.

I don't know where you are geographically. Here in Florida you can buy them at your local grocery store. Publix, for example, carries a canvas bag for $5.00 each.

If I were to offer a tip, paper bags can be re-used many times become they become unusable; just keep an open top cardboard box in your car to carry the bags up and down from the car.

Try the link below for many of them, or search any shopping site like Yahoo for "cloth shopping bags". Good luck & thanks for being eco-friendly (I use them all the time, BTW, and they are great!)
