I didn't until last year when I started an online relationship with someone who lived a few hours from me. I didn't think she was my type at all from the pictures but to get her off my back I went up there to meet her. When I saw her it was like lightning hit me. I never felt anything like it. Unfortunately for her it was not a mutual feeling. So now after almost a year my heart is broken. At this point in time I don't see myself ever getting involved seriously again. My friend put it this way: My love set the bar so high that no one will EVER be able to reach it! I never thought of it that way, but it's true. I have so many maybes: maybe if I lived closer, maybe if I saw her more ofter, maybe, maybe ,maybe.........I think she was that one in a lifetime love that most people NEVER get to experience. And I wish I never did, either.

I think we would all like to believe in the movie fairy tale.... Love at first site..... I think that this is possible for the first 3 to 6 months..... Then the butterflies fall fewer in between, the newness wears off... The baggage comes out... The best behavior ends.... I think initial attraction is mistaken for love... Love is something you need to work at, respect, nurture... Love isn't the glue that holds together a relationship.. It the work that two people are willing to put in, to keep the love going.....It needs to be a mutual thing of respect, honesty, trust, love, kindness..and most of all communication... then happily ever after...

I used to think I did ..now I think I belive in chemestry at first sight.. that turns into love... and you have to work at it because that love can be spoiled and tarneshed.. if not treated with the utmost respect... some people turn that love into hate... and dont treat each other with respect because they take each other for granted.

Sure I do.
It can happen that you see somebody in the streets with looks that make you "wow !!"...if the other has the same that is it ! To make it work, one of the two must be brave enough to make the connection.

depends how long it takes to surrender to love, i believe it can happen in a moment then it can deepen with time or it can be an action rather than a feeling. Doing no harm

No. I think it is impossible to love someone without knowing them. Sure, you could fall in love with your idea of what they might be like based on that first look, but that isn't really them.
