It will be awesome in the sense that the people who see the movie and grew up with television show find commonality in it even if it is live action.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The trailer was pretty cool for the 30 seconds we actually see.

I have hope. Transform and Move Out!

I'm a huge Transformers fan and I really hope this movie turns out well. I have all the DVD's and over 100 toys with boxes.

Many people have said it's going to suck because it's not going to be just like the cartoon from the 80's, but if we really take a look at the 80's cartoon, there is room for improvement. I mean most of the series was based on a quest for energon. If you think the movie doesn't have much plot development, in reality, the cartoon didn't have it. Plus the decepticons were pretty weak. They always had to retreat at the end of every episode.

I wish the Ark was going to be in the movie and I understand updating the cars to current models. The size thing never made sense either. How does a giant robot like Megatron shink down to a gun? And the new series has minicons. Very annoying. So I think if they keep the basics, it could turn out to be a good film. I like that they have Peter doing Optimus's voice. I haven't heard if they will or not, but they absolutely have to have that noise they make when they transform, that Choo-choo-choo-chit sound. Damn I get excited just thinking about it.

I also hope it does well at the box office because that will mean Transformers 2 and Transfomers 3. God, I would wet my pants if they had Unicron in Transformers 3. Am I excited? Yes. I will be there opening night at the local cineplex.

Did you hear about VW not letting the company to use the original bug car from the cartoon?
You know how much advertising they would have gotten by doing so.

Idiots.

Not gonna hold my breath over it, though I may take my son to see it (his grandparents just recently gave him a couple of the old action figures that belonged to his [now deceased] uncle)...
