I believe it's anywhere between 2-5 years depending on breed, but of course they can live longer than that. Alot depends on their enviorment, what they eat, exercise, etc. Hope this helps.

The average life span for a hamster is 2-3 years with proper care. But people have had hamsters for longer than that. Its all about how there cared for.

normally about 2-3 years. My daughters 3 legged hamster died a few weeks ago the poor thing.

tho i once had a male hamster that lived for 5 years.
