Why are we manic about our southern border?

When the only known terrorists to cross our border have come in through Canada? Why are we not seeing the same threat coming from the north?

Because the white man is afraid of colored people. Canadians are white, so let them in, but Mexicans and people from every country south of Mexico are brown, so keep them out. No need to worry though, we will find a way in.

NOW, how do you know for a fact that "The only known terrorists have crossed from Canada?" You believe everything our Government tells us? Did you see the news showing the Mexican Army/Police cross into Texas on a well used illegal crossing? They were filmed doing it. It's a drug and human smuggling route. The Mexican economy is run in part from drugs and the money that the illegals send home . You must not live in a state that borders Mexico. I do! It's not being "MANIC" about the problem and it's not just about terrorist. It's has to do with drugs, human misery, taxes not paid, state services being used, rising crime rates, wages becoming depressed because illegals will and do work for less. Please don't believe the lie about Mexicans doing the jobs Americans wont do. Our Government and the liberals hope by getting that lie repeated enough times everyone will come to believe it. Saying something often does not make it a FACT! Ask any working woman/man in the Southwest to see if this "fact" is true.

I think the problem lies within the mass amount of illegals that cross the border from the south that are not accounted for.

This is a problem that doesn't occur at the U.S. \ Canadian border.

We have no way of knowing how many terrorist that may already be in place as a result of the uncontrolled border crossings that occur to the south.

I feel it's a mistake for the Bush Administration not to place a higher priority on the American, Mexican border.

If it were up to me and it's not, nor will it ever be, I would build a wall and have National Guard patrol within their respected states!

The threat Sir is coming from all open borders and the illegal immigrant invasion.There may have been more incursions from the North that are not given up for public consumption.As a Veteran you know our government isn't always forthcoming with intelligence about ongoing operations.So I don't think we are at all "manic" about this situation.If anything,we are not doing enough on either border.If you truly are a Nam vet, Thank you for your service and welcome home!

Well, we don't have illegal Mexicans entering from Canada by the millions, they are coming from Mexico. Why wouldn't we up the border patrol along the Mexican border? I don't know about you, but I prefer to live in the United States, not an extension of Mexico.

Because illegal traffic across the southern border is worse.

Presumably Canada does a better job of keeping terrorists out of their country to start with. Mexico is abhorantly corrupt, and officials readily bribed.

I think the people coming in from the south are more dangerous..just ask the family of the policeman that was murdered by an illegal last week in New York.

Plus, Mexico has militarized their southern border...so why are they upset with our plans to build a simple fence?
