Don't quibble with the hypothesis that the Dems will take Congress. ASSUME that they will.

Does then, mean, that the Dems would REMOVE Bush through impeachment and trial and conviction? Would they want Cheney to take over the Oval Office? Is BUSH SO BAD that CHENEY would be preferred to him? OR, therefore, is Bush "safe", regardless of the current or future scandles and additional negative revelations about the outcomes of his decisions, for another two years.

For you information and for the record, I am a conservative who voted for Bush twice (as the lesser of two evils). Since December and the Dubai-management contract revelation I have taken an increasing jaded perspective on 43, done my homework as a top investigative reporter and editor, and am horrified at what I've uncovered about this traitor 43.

Just Google "North American Union" and "North American Security Pac" and read thorough the first 15 returns for each.

OR go to Wikipedia and TRY to call up the "North American Union" artilce that was there for about 18 months AND HAS SINCE BEEN REMOVED with a suggestion that it might be returned by its authors "in a year or so". Reason for removal? The facts are sealed by Wikipedia. You cannot read the editing remarks !!!

HUH???????????

Scary? (As Kerry said early in that campaign? --Yeah, and I detest him as well.)

CHRIS--I hope you will come back and explain that last sentence about Africa-American. I can't play it in my mind to make any sense out of it no matter how I twisted it around.

As much as they would like to do so, they will not "take control" of Congress with sufficient numbers to get an impeachment, let alone actually win the impeachment. So he is in no danger of that.

It wouldn't be worth the money and time it would take to hold proceedings to impeach the man. He'll be gone in due course. So you voted for him BOTH times as the lesser of two evils? I think his brain (or lack thereof) is the "axis of evil" and the disenfranchisement of all those Florida voters was an act of domestic terrorism.
I'll be glad to see him go whether by impeachment, which he deserves or by the completion of his term. As long as he goes. IMO, he should be impeached. THERE ARE NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION! Therefore, he LIED to the American people to start a war. I believe the real motive was grinding daddy's old axes and hiding the money trail, by diversion, and his ties to the family of the world's most notorious terrorist, by his own declaration.
*Man. Big brother is going to get me now for sure. Oh, wait a minute, I'm African American. (Sigh) Can't get much worse.*

No the democrats will be too busy cleaning Frist and Hastert's messes to impeach Bush. Besides it would take about 2 years, and Bush would be going out the door by the time formal proceedings were begun.

Investigations of the type you think a Dem Congress would launch against the President take years. He'd be out of office before they could kick him out.

Honestly, if they wanted to remove him they would go through the process of doing so when it came up... he only has a few years left and starting next year he will be in essense a lame duck president....So why bother with it.... If people dislike him so much they would have done something about it already.

Lets hope so.

I think Cheney will be impeached before GW - but he will resign before that happens (because he knows he is guiltier than sin) and Condi will become VP. GW will then have an affair with Condi which will produce children but the Religious Right will forgive him because he is one of them (and not one of those heathen Liberals)

No. They have no grounds to do so and know it. When they let some of their mavericks throw that idea around, they hope that it will fall on enough ignorant ears and make a difference by getting a few more Bush haters to go vote. Not every body has to be ignorant or naive, just a few, enough to tip the scales.

Hopefully, they would just wait it out, knowing that he is on a shorter leash. Cheney is already running things behind the scene, so it wouldn't make much difference in that regard, might just be a little worse.

I don't think the Dems will try to remove him.

Bushie will just loose the rubber stamp for his Coolidgesque economic policy.

No. Too many of the dems initially supported the war, including Kerry.
