I have never had a hemeriod. I asked mom and she says they've never done that to her...and this guy always rubs my outta lips too. I've been seeing him for four years and he handled my cervical cancer treatment. According to my husband I have a very normal looking better than average appearance downstairs...so whats with this perv?

And no he doesn't take a stool sample and rub it on a little paper card when he sticks his finger in my butt. He puts what feels like a 7 inch finger in pushes up and the throws his gloves aways and walks out.

Finally, a rectal exam. Yep, that's right. If your doctor doesn't make this exam a regular practice, ask for it. It may sound bizarre to actually request this, but it's important. This step, in which one finger is in the vagina and the other is in the rectum, helps detect rectal lesions and growths (an early sign of colon cancer) and also helps point out endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and the alignment of the uterus and other pelvic organs.

I tried to answer you question via email, but yahoo answers wouldn't pass it along for some reason.
The rectal exam is part of a comprehensive check up. The doctor not only checks for polyps but abnormalities between the distal end of the colon and the posterior of the vaginal vault. Also, it is common for cysts or nodules to form in the labia and most gyn doctors do palpate this area to see if there is anything abnormal there. You would be surprised the number of early cancer detections and problems a good doctor can locate with a complete exam.
As far as the answer to a previous question:
I don't think the issue is the cervix, but with the short cycle. You might need to go back to your gyn doctor and get a follow up.
Most birth control pills are out of the system any where from a month to about 4 months after you stop taking them.
If the cervix is open, and you are ovulating, you should be able to conceive. Please follow up with your doctor for a more detailed exam that can look at some more specific causes for your inability to become pregnant.
Wish I could be more help-full, but without a detailed exam, its just guess work.

One thing he is checking for are abnormalities within the rectum. Another is occult blood in the stool. They use a small test card for this. If your doctor gynecologist or otherwise is not doing this you are NOT receiving a very important part of your annual exam and you should be asking why. He is NOT a pervert, he is only being thorough and it is for your benefit only.

It is possible that the perv is actually just a concerned physician. This manuver you discribe is helpful for evaluating movility and appearance of the rectal-vaginal sheath.
As for the lip rubbing, this could actually be a manuever to find the vaginal inlet.
Your should be able to recognize and discriminate a perv from a concern doctor.

If you complain of hemorrhoids and want to be checked for them then yes the doctor has to asses your internal walls of your rectum to check for inner hemorrhoids or polyps. Most people are unaware that hemorrhoids are inside and out.

Doctors need to examine inside your butt. My doctor (a woman) does that.
As for rubbing your outer lips, that doesn't sound right to me. I would switch doctors and report him for that.
