You make some valid points. During the Clinton years, there
was the Lewinksky scandal and Whitewater, but the USA
enjoyed their lowest unemployment rate in decades and
balanced budgets for the first time in years. Dubya was
going to have a hard time following that. I don't think that's
the reason people dislike Dubya. He is disliked because
he lied about making the case to go to war against Iraq,
the way US military abused detainees at Abu Ghraib and
Guantanamo Bay, his association with Ken Lay, the former
disgraced and now deceased ex-CEO of Enron, his lie
about how Saddam was linked to Osama and 9-11. That
is a whopper, since Osama is a fundamentalist Islamic
simple type of guy in terms of lifestyle. He's very wealthy,
but he lives in caves and lives like he's poor. Saddam is the
exact opposite. He doesn't follow his own religion that closely,
and used his power to acquire wealth for himself and family,
and had a lavish lifestyle. Dubya is disliked by many Americans because his lies have cost thousands of lives and billions of
taxpayer dollars that could have been used for domestic
purposes. The California energy crisis of a few years back
was blamed on Gray Davis, but the real culprit was the energy
companies who conspired against it, and you can bet it was
politically motivated. ENRON profited greatly because of the
energy crisis. Read my link about how they made a $1 billion
dollar profit. To answer your question, no. They don't dislike
him because Clinton was a tough act to follow. They dislike
him more for other reasons that I have listed.

I dislike Bush because:
1) He is a poor speaker and often bumbles through a sentence in public. It's embarrassing.
2) He did not win the first election, and barely won the 2nd, YET HE PRETENDS TO HAVE A MANDATE. He has an obligation to try to represent the millions who did not want him in office, but ignores that obligation.
3) He has an extremely narrow religious view and tries to impose it on the country.
4) He invaded Iraq for no good reason. First, there were the WMDs, which were not there. Then it was retaliation for 9/11, although Iraq wasn't associated with 9/11 at all. Then it was trying to free the poor Iraqis from their dictator, which might have been a good cause if we hadn't previously been lied to. Our sons are dying in Iraq. BRING THEM HOME.
5) He is the oil companies' beyotch, and does everything in his power to reverse protections for the environment. The Kyoto Accords might have been our last chance with global warming.
6) Even the Republicans think he's stupid. They don't say it, but read between the lines. They know. Big money and a propaganda machine bought the Presidency for Bush, so that he could serve the rich. And that is what he does.
7) He has damaged the US economy with his ill-conceived war. This will not harm the rich, but it sure as hell harms the rest of us. Does that matter? No.

I dont like Bush because he has made a lot of bad decisions. I dont think people dislike a president because the previous president is a "tough act" to follow. I think most people will look at the things the current president has done and base their opinions on that.

i might decide for Clinton over bush and right here is why. Clinton is purely answerable for mendacity approximately getting a ******** from a GOP hooker. on an identical time as bush is busy stealing from us and those in Iraq, form of like what the nazi's did to the Jews and the Germans. nevertheless you're in all probability purely as grasping and can't see. In answer on your factors of view: a million: bush's faith is so reliable he had to become a reborn christian to declare that status. 2: bush does no longer supply you the certainty if his life depended on it, he'd plead the 5th or considering which you think so strongly he'd in all probability sell you a dried up oil properly.. 3: particular he'd serve with as lots interest as he could slot in his distant places money owed, he ducked out of the provider and wasn't even in a time of war, what a retard. If in easy terms something of our militia could sellect the place they want to serve i ask your self what number may well be in Iraq. 4: properly he might care approximately his family participants nevertheless i'm sorry for his spouse, a guy who's in mattress by ability of 9 leaving her to the strip golf equipment and stuffing funds down youthful mens jocks won't be able to be all sturdy. properly a minimum of all of us be attentive to the place a number of our tax money are going besides and that i'm effective the stripers are happy of it. 5: he's the variety of reliable chief and team participant that the GOP hates him and maximum of his voters to boot nevertheless there are some who purely won't be able to admit he's valueless.

My opinion of Mr. Bush does not have anything to do with Mr. Clinton; although Mr. Clinton was a much better diplomat, and statesman. Mr. Bush's problem is his fragmentation and poor use of communicating, gestures, complete ignorance, and lack of diplomacy. His continued support of Mr. Rumsfeld which pushed Mr. Powell to resign after the first 4 years with Mr. Bush will cost dearly at the end. His deliberate lies in regards to Saddam and weapons of mass destruction may come back and haunt him..but I doubt if he would be impeached. Unfortunately, Mr. Clinton's problem with Monika wiped away the greatness of his presidency when in fact it was a personal problem between himself, his wife and daughter, and not a national witch hunt as it ended up being. President Bush is an ignorant man, who has engulfed himself in the power of being the President of the United States.

I don't have anything against the President. I just disagree with his administration's way of leading. It is really nothing personal, if I had someone I hired to do a job a certain way and they did whatever they wanted to do regardless of my wishes as the man footing the bill I would fire him. I guess that is really how I feel about the President.
