I have one of the Mitsubitshi Mr Slim (ductless split conditioner) units installed in my bedroom. The problem is that it emits a mildewy / foul smell when I leave it to run on "fan mode". It does not emit stinky air though when I put it on low temperatures (which involves the compressor running). I wonder what is the reason for that, and how I can get rid of that smell once and for all. Please help and thank you!

The cold coils condense water on them while the unit is running. This should be drained away. Mildew can build up if the drain line gets partially clogged. Go outside with a shop vacuum (or any wet/dry vac) and put it over the drain line and cover any gaps as best you can to try to pull any muck out of the drain. Then, go back inside and apply a mix of bleach and water over the coils, letting the excess drip into the drain pan and drain. Let this sit for 15 minutes before you try to use the A/C again. You may have to apply the bleach mixture more then once to kill off the mildew.

you should have 220 entering the field. i do not comprehend the position you stay yet I truly have in no way heard of one hundred ten service to a house. I truly have renevated homes that still had fuses from the 1940's and the service changed into 220. look contained in the electric powered field, there should be 3 wires coming in, 2 insulated and one bare twine. If no longer call the electric powered agency to regulate it.
