I have a new friend who livers in my buildidng. She is Christian and I am not. She is expecting an Xmas gift from me. Do you think I should just get her one? I am not comfortable with the gift exchange ideqa and I really cant afford it I am on disability and have a low income. I do not celebrate Christmas or send cards. I send Happy New Year greetings to my family and close friends and give them an astrologicalk reading if they want one I am a professional astrologfer, retirednow.

did she actually say she wanted a gift..or do you feel you have to do something for her...just let her know how you feel i'm sure she will understand..you might be worrying about nothing..good luck

it is OK bout the spelling
juz make her something
it is ok to exchange gift even though ur not Christian
anyways Xmas is in December and it is only end of September u can save some for it
anyway a gift does not mean it must be a expensive one

i doubt she is expecting anything from you. Tell her not to get you anything because you do not celebrate Christmas, and if she gets you one anyway, just accept it and forget about it. She can't expect a gift from you, especially if she is a Christian. She will understand. You have plenty of time between now and Christmas to convince her otherwise, though. Just tell her you dont' celebrate.

Let her know u dont celebrate christmas nothing personal, like example i dont celebrate xmas so to let someone know i apprecaite them i try giving them something i can afford any time of the year not exactly that time. I know is difficult cus all my family celebrates it, I broke free several years ago

It never hurts to be nice. Maybe she wants a friend. Bake her some cookies and wrap them up. It is cheaper than buying her a gift.

no gift giving is just that giving. u shouln't have to get her anything it's suspossed to be about spreadin joy and all that other mushy stuff and anyways isn't that like over 2 months away.

well tell her that you cant afford it or that you dont feel comfertable, anyways if someone buys you a gift is becuase they want to and they shouldnt be expecting something in return

If you do not celebrate Christmas...............u do not have to give her any gift. do what you think is the best for you, but do not please her just because she is doing it for you.
