"WASHINGTON - The White House refused Wednesday to release in full a previously secret intelligence assessment that depicts a growing terrorist threat and has fueled the election-season fight over the Iraq war. Press secretary Tony Snow said releasing the full report, portions of which President Bush declassified on Tuesday, would jeopardize the lives of agents who gathered the information. "

I don't know, seems a little suspicious to me.

I think releasing the full report would jeapordise the careers of several politicians in the White House, including George Bush. When information is not released to the public, it is usually to protect someone in power rather than protect the public servants (agents in this case) doing their jobs.

When has Bush ever admitted to a mistake. If he loses the majority in either house he will become the "new" definition of a “lame duck”, plus he will be forced to take responsibility for the fiasco in Iraq. The republicans are running scared; afraid their incompetence will become the dominating factor Nov 7th. They will pull out every dirty trick they ever learned from Richard Nixon in an effort to maintain the status quo. You will find a concentrated effort by the right wing to discredit anything and everything that hints of mistakes by the people in power. 16 intelligence agencies all run by republican appointee’s have said in uncertain terms that our policies are failing to make us safer. Your president says it isn’t so, who do you believe?

It doesn't disturb me. It would disturb me if there weren't people risking there lives in gaining intelligence on barbaric religious fundamentalists trying to ferment further bloodshed on a massive scale.
