What kind of censoring do you mean? They're doing it on the US version also, and I wonder if they're cutting the same kinds of posts.

Freedom of speech is a guarantee that the government cannot penalize your for you words. That does not apply to private citizens and companies.

Yahoo is a private company and, as such, they can set any type of requirements and restrictions on content posted on the boards/forums that THEY OWN. Nobody is forcing you to be here. If you don't like their rules, don't use their services. That's like someone coming in your house and putting a note saying something you don't agree with on your coffee table. You can choose to leave it there or to throw it away. If they complain when you throw it away, what would your response be? "My house, my rules. Don't like it, go someplace else."

This is Yahoo's house, and Yahoo's rules. If you don't like the rules, go play at someone else's house.

I don't know what you are specifically referring to, although I have received violation e-mails from Yahoo for expressing my opinion about Islam. I see that it's all right for people to criticise Catholicism and Christianity in general but not Islam. I also notice that not many people on the UK and Ireland pages come from those countries and most seem to be from the USA.

The answer is that they didn't - well, not at least in the law.

However, the loonie lefties are trying everything to tell us what we should say AND think - and we must NOT allow them to succeed.

Those living outside of the UK will probably not be aware of the sinister and worrying changes that have taken place over the past couple of years under Blair's government.
