Real, and frightening, and I hope the House Republicans put an end to this nonsense soon. The borders are not enforceable when a large gap exists for transnational commerce alone. Why not escort the nukes into the country? Sovereignty is built on defense and nationalism, and both are taking a beating here in the Great 50 States.

The idea seems to be that instead of a hundred and ten different points of entry for purely commercial traffic, there would be only one or just a few points of entry for just commercial traffic.

This should actually help deal with illegal entries and make it less costly and more efficient.

There is nothing that can be done about the fact that "where there is a will, there is a way." Nothing is perfect, not fences, not troops, not satellites, etc.
