I have been having some odd activity in my brain and I want to know what it could be before I have my EEG this week. First my brain starts tingling like how a foot feels when it falls asleep. Then a sharp pain shoots through my head. This is followed by a migraine that won't go away with medicine and will last for a few hours. What could this be?

I have had seziures all my life there are four kinds and I have 3 of the four....What a sezuire is is when the brain sends more then one singal at a time causing them to cross paths...Most of the time a sezuire affect more then one part of the body....But I have brain sezuires too...They can be different for different people, but mine I would always be like spaced out eyes open and glassy and unresponive so I'm not sure about the side effects you are getting....Most of the time during a sezuire other parts of your body shake like spazims...If I was you I would get to the doctor right away and tell him what you have been feeling....It might be something worse then a sezuire like a tumor or anurism....I hope you find out all is good...I will pray for you...

The brain itself has no capability of feeling. That is why often when they do brain surgery the patient is awake - they have to numb the surrounding area of the incision, but the brain does not feel.

I wonder if the problem could actually be in your neck, pinching nerves and cutting off blood flow to the scalp and head. Depending on how your tests come out, you might also consult a chicopractor....sometimes they do wonders.

My daughter got a migraine what would not quit for weeks when she was about 8 - and it turned out to be her teeth. They were crowding and causing head pain. The dentist did a mouth expander, and within days her pain was gone.

So don't give up, look in all kinds of areas for the answer.

Honey I really doubt that it is a seizure I wish I could tell you that it is but none of the signs point to a seizure. When you have a seizure you usually hit the floor and twitch around like a fish out of water. Your arms and legs pull up and down. I don't want to even speculate on what it could be because it sounds a whole lot more serious than just a seizure. Please do yourself a favor and go get the EEG done to see what it is. God Bless you and Angels go with you. When you find out what the problem is would you please e-mail me at Shinningstar33160@yahoo.com, I would like to know that you are alright. Thank you

This could be a form of a seizure. You doctor will probably prescribe some medication after doing a brain scan and EEG and hopefully this will eliminate your symptons.
