I've come to terms with the fact that i'm not going to get a PS3 on the release day(11/17). But how soon after that will the next shipment come in. I know the 360 launch was similar, so if there is anyone who was in a similar situation then with the 360 please respond. I'm hoping to have my PS3 by Christmas.

I honestly think that you will get one next year. You need to have connections at a game store or anywhere where they sell them. I feel for you because most of the first shipments will be going to these very people.
I hope you get 1 by years end, but if you dont sorry and enjoy.

You should be able to get it when you want it. Sony claims that they are shipping out enough systems for the people that want them for the launch and then shipping out more in a month. We will see though. If you want one that bad why not pre order. I think you'll have one by christmas though.
