its really easy, all u have to do is make an appointment and show proof of income, and the fact that u are either pregnant or bring your child with u to the appointment which u will have to do anyways becoz they check their weight and ur weight. and they also check iron with a finger prick. they'll ask u to complete a survery of the different types of food u eat and how much u eat it during the week or the month.. or never. and then they give u a gold card for u to sign and these checks that explain what u can get. and u have to sign the check after u hand it to the cahsier and she'll ask to see the gold card with ur signature.
you get carotts, cereal, milk, eggs, cheese, and juice. not all the checks have those on them.. and u can only get the cheapest brand they have, but it comes out to be about 15 bucks that u save.. depending on the store.

I had WIC for awhile. It's fairly easy to get it just takes a lot of paperwork. You have to bring absolutely everything in and they go over the process with you. The only thing that I hated about WIC was that they act like you are some imbecile. They make comments about your kids health issues and make you feel like you know nothing about parenting. I don't want to sound bitter. I am thankful for all they have done to help. It is definitely great to get the extra food supplies. Just go in knowing that they will want to know everything.

I'm on WIC. It's very easy to get. In fact I make pretty good money and still qualify for it since I'm a single mother. They usually ask for check stubs and they will need to know how much you make.

My sister is on WIC, and its very easy to get. We live in Wisconsin, so Im not sure if it is the same all over. If you get medical assistance, you automatically are approved. Otherwise, you do need to show income and such to get it. You can get it as soon as you find out you are pregnant and up until the child is 5 years old.

WIC is fairly easy to get. Yes, you do need proof of income, or lack there of. People can be fairly well off financially and still get WIC.

I know they check your income to see if you qualify, but if you are already getting food stamps and medical from the state you automatically get WIC. At least that is the way it is in the state that I live in.

You have to make under a certain amount of pay. You need to prove basically everything to them, with check stubs, your address, and all that good stuff. It's easy to get if you qualify, just a lot of paperwork and going to pick up the checks every 3 months.

You have to bring in proff of income. You are allowed to have income, it just depends on the size of family and age of child and what you bring home pay wise. When we were stationed at Ft Meade there were SO many active duty families on WIC.
