You know how sometimes you have what you think is a good question but you submit it around the same time a bunch of other questions are going up and when you finally see yours it's buried 5 deep?
I think it would be neat (but a nightmare, I realize this) if you could choose to force your question at the top for extra time by giving up some points. Not indefinitely... just like 2 minutes or something for 50 pts. But you could only do it like twice/day.

Yeah, they'd have to limit it somehow like level 1s can't do it at all. Level 2s can do it once/day. Level 3, two times/day, and so on.
But it costs a lot and each category can only have so many every hour. That would be tough but could be done using algorithms so...
You know like a category can only have 5 per hour that stay up for 2 minutes so if I'm the 6th person that hour and try to keep mine at the top, i'd be greeted with a msg saying 'the hourly limit has been reached, try next hour'
