I have noticed lately that my computer has been processing data slowly. I installed and uninstalled many software applications and transferred a large volume of data to and from my hard disk during the past few days. What can be possiber reasons affecting my computer performance. Please help me out any answers will be greatly appreciated.

This is not happening to me this is an school question sorry that I put it in the wrong area. Also if you are going to ask childish and say something that has nothing to do with the question I am going to report you for abuse so serious answers only.

it could be quite a few things
you could have installed to many programs that have things running in the background and they are eating up all your RAM.
could be virus/spyware, do you have protection from those threats?
when was the last time you did a disk defragmentation or a chkdsk?
do you have all your windows updates up to date?
have you checked the event viewer to see if there are any issues going on?

I would look at defragmenting the drive, especially after a lot of disk activity.

Other problems could be memory related. Are a lot of programs launched or running in the system tray?

Then their every bodies nemesis spyware it can kill performance real fast. I would recommend running a spyware removal program several are available on the web.

It could be just dial-up. If not try scanning for spyware and virus's
