Well, if you are a man, you should realize that if it wasn't supposed to be there, it wouldn't be there. Most boys or men who are into some sort of sports like wrestling, or weight lifting, shave their bodies, because the hair has a tendency to get in the way. And, if you've ever pinched arm hair in a metal device, then you'll know what I'm talking about. All boys begin developing pubic hair, under arm hair, chest hair, and leg and arm hair, as well as facial hair at various points of their adolescents. Yes, it belongs there and should stay there. Don't be a fool and shave it off. Besides, it is very difficult to do this. By medical standards it is there for a reason, sexually to be exact. I won't explain it to you here, but just look it up on the internet, an online encyclopedia is best or a medical website. Don't be worried, it's perfectly normal.

Pubic hair is a hang back from our primal state.
People who say it's for padding are wrong, how much help are few pubes in responce to a kick in the balls. The pubic hair is there to hold the musty scrotum sweat smell. This was useful millions of years ago to attract a mate. The way a dog will smell another dog.
Now that we go out for drinks and maybe buy a nice curry.....scrotum hair isn't all that important.
If you shave be careful. Pull the skin tight and go slow. And if you shave the 'under side' of your balls you will be certain to get an annoying itch sooner. Figure out where your weed line is going to be for a comfortable time.
DO NOT use a dipilitory cream, it will burn sensative skin. Always read the label for dipilitory cream, waxes etc.

Depends on if you're a girl or a boy, and your regional customs, and how much hair you're talking about... Here in the US, it's common for a woman to shave her privates. it's healthier that way, as it lessens the chances of yeast/other infections. But here guys rarely shave, though a little trimming isn't uncommon. Whether it's a good thing or not isn't as important as how YOU feel about it.
Sexually, if you're a girl and like a guy to "go down on you" then yes, shaving is nice because it's more pleasant for the guy doing the work, not to mention cleaner. for a guy, you'd want to trim hairs back a bit, just to minimize the chances that she'd get a hair in her mouth. but really whether to shave or not is your own call and is fully your preference.
one warning though, NEVER EVER use NAIR on your privates!

You do not say if you are male or female? not that it matters. hair is part of our protection to sensitive areas. I would not advise shaving but there are other ways to minimize or go for the bald look. Remember it is natural!
You can use hair removal creams and gels especially designed for sensitive areas or go for a wax.
It is not a bad thing to shave but there is a risk you may nick of your skin and also there is a rash that appears after that can become infected if you do not look after it. There is also more risk of an ingrowing hair which can be very painful!
A trim with some scissors to keep yourself neat if far better!
Good luck!

most adult males shave, just like most adult women. The hair no longer really serves a purpose. It is vestigial, as is the rest of our body hair. It used to keep us warm in winter, but now we have trousers!
So shave away - your sex partners will appreciate it. And on the bonus side, a good trim makes you look bigger!

Yes, it is a good thing. It makes you look and feel manly. I for one am not going to waste my time and shave down there when I have enough trouble keeping my face and neck shaved.

Hey, Sam: I normally shave at some extent all that hair, because I think that is not useful to have it for oral sex, i.e. , and of course, it 'grow back in about 15 days. Using an electric trimmer carefully, for instance, is easier to get rid of it for a while. Try it. What do yu think?

Pubic hair is there for a reason. To protect the genitals from bacteria etc..... Some people shave and some dont. I personally dont think it matters too much as long as you wash regularly.

the hair is there for a reason: to provide a bit of padding and protection, similar to the hair on top of your head. however, if a person chooses to shave it, it doesn't do any harm.
in this day and age, either way is fine, just a matter of personal preference
