is flushing tampons down the toilet okay, i know pads are a no-no....but i thouht tht tampons are build to fluhing down the toliet?

The box says its flushable, but it really isn't "Flushable". You can put it in the toilet, and it will go down, but ask ANY PLUMBER the number one cause of sewer line clogs, its Roots and Tampons. They will go down, but they do not always go through the drain line. They will get stuck in an elbow and eventually build up, and cause a blockage. Which will probably be at least $300 to fix, most likely more.

Tampons should never be flushed. They do not disintegrate like toilet paper. You know what they do for you, now imagine them in the drain pipes.

You can flush tampons.

read the box most of them are flushable as far as I know but they are all bad for the septic tank!!!

they are usually fine.
however if you have a commode thats prone to clogging or getting stopped up, dont do it.
