I have a phone in the home, in the shop and a fax line. my bill runs 150-160 each month.

For most people there aren't much choices for the local land line. You might be able to cut down to just the basic for your local line, and use cell phone for long distance.

If you are using fax mainly to receive, then look into eFax.com. It might save a little bit of money.

However, if it is $150 for 3 different lines, it isn't bad.

Yes of course. There are different phone companies that you can use and will give you different rates. Try someone like Utilities warehouse who I have heard are good. Search on the net and see what you can find.
