I only have memories of NCAA Football only going as far back as 1980 or so...but the first names that come to mind are Barry Sanders, Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson, Ran Dayne, Ricky Williams, Jerome Bettis and Emmitt Smith...I know I am missing some but those were the first ones that came to mind. But if I were to say a college career as far as being productive for 4 years, I would have to say Ricky Williams. Didn't he start as a freshman, by winning the job over Priest Holmes and then break the long standing rushing record?
