Hopefully it's not something serious or health related. You really should check with your physician.
Age really plays a part in how much alcohol you can tolerate. I find that the older I get, the less I can handle.

Think about the changes that have occured in yourself from the handling alcohol episteme to the 'sick after ! alternative, Have you lost weight? are you on psychiatric meds? have you developed anxiety over lack of control alcohol brings? Do you eat before you drink? dairy products line the stomach. If you want to be able to drink more (i don't advise it too expensive) eat some dairy products a few hours before drinking, when you start drinking go gun ho for soon you will be too inebriated to know you feel sick, also the clearer the alcohol the less impurities -I can down a few bottles of vodka but give me a bourben and call me Jenniffer Love Spewit

I always thought my resistance was down because I was drinking less frequently. In college I drank every weekend and some week nights. After college I drank some weekends but more frequently than not. After kids I gave it up all together. Once my kids got older I try to drink and two glasses of wine gives me a hangover. It's not just wine either. I have to drink earlier, stop earlier then follow with two advil and gobs of water before bed. This may not be your scenario, I don't know.

I'm wondering the same thing Michael.....being psychological is only part of it. I'm going to be completely honest about this, because it's something I had to deal with. I too had an alcohol problem, as I got older it became harder to recover from "a healthy" night of drinking. I had graduated from beer.....nothing but E&J for the kid, like I was saying, from one or two days to recover,it started to be three and four days, my stomach started to give me problems as well. It got to the point that my "little voice" started to tell me that"didn't I think it was time to give this sh*t up. Me? Give it up? Never! Sure enough, it wasn't long after that, that one drink made me sick, I couldn't figure it out. Then it dawned on me.......it was the power of "self suggestion", the "little voice" (my conscience) was following my true feelings. Of course it was for my own good, needless to say, I thought I knew best......but it kept happening, the getting sick, I quit, Man, it was me telling me that it was time I gave the habit up....Idid! That's when I figured it out, it was the power of "self suggestion" alright, only this time it worked in my favor. It sounds like you're at that same crossroad Michael.....it'll be all up to you, if the getting sick hangs on...it's time to ask yourself the same questions. The best of luck to you........LATER

The alcohol gotten in, destroys and rots the cells and fibres in the tissues!
Although you may have cut out on it, its effect still is on, or may switch on at any moment of your daily life.
The best and guaranteed way to cure self from it, is to visit your nearest NARCONON.
(see the Net). You will undergo a programm which will eliminate these effects on you!
Ciao.......John-John.

yea..i can't even smell some types of alcohol due to the past experiences of throwing up. Try different drinks..ones that don't smell. or it could be something medical..consult your doctor if it continues..obviously your body knows or is being warned.

Sounds like you've overdone it mate. Unfortunately the body remembers, particularly things that poison it so try another drink.

Your body is telling you that something is wrong and you should stop drinking. Also see your doctor and tell them what the problem is.
