I would say that they would want to read articles that pertain to their life style as students.
Maybe some political articles that are well writtten filled with information in the least amount of words as they are busy already.
Some articles that pertain to fun- maybe
Great helpfull hints- How to remove red wine from their favorite dress-How to prepare a quick but tastful snack--How to study when your really against a dead line and your beat.......
Maybe the adversizing could show the ' how to dress part' .
Some free coupons as they are on tight budgets.
Discounts from stores.
Short articles on career choices including the current pay scales.
Short aticles on other colledges activities...
Short articles on sports- of course loaded always with information.
Articles on other students from diffferent countries, and how they live and have fun while attending school.
Great pictures!
The magazine would have to have fun written all over it yet with the tone of education and colledge lifestyle as a theme.

Tips on finding jobs, or better yet, careers.
The typical Resume info must be needed, b/c I've seen some horrible resumes from college grads.
But, better yet, advice and direction on finding your calling. It involves your skills, passions, interestes and personality. Most of those things are not understood by guidance counselors.
I'd recommend reading and getting advice from the authors or sources listed below. You could change people's lives w/ this stuff.
It's why these guys are so popular:

You might see what they have to offer, and I'd definitely consider Fast Company Magazine as a source!

I'm reading this book right now, and the author is straight to the point. She covers so much, but very efficiently. Her exercises are manageable, and she makes this effort FUN.

A very useful tool for this is the Myers Briggs personality types. This is a good book to assess that for people and find career options.
Both of these books are good, and compliment each other. There are other books on these pages, and these would provide material as well..
