We all seek the answer to the ultimate question "what is the purpose of life". When you ask this, you'll notice that each one of us will have a different answer.
Emotionally, we are all the same and we all feel the same emotions, however, what is different about each one of us is the situations that trigger them.
Aside from the obious (breathing, eating, etc...), we all tend to be programmed from the birth on about certian beliefs - or lack of. This will literally determine what kind of adult we become. All humans are exposed to: Don't do this, or do that, or don't say this.... All this is based on someones belief, mostly the belief of the person / people who bring us up.
Wheather you are an atheist, believer or religious, there are things that you have been told what to do and what not to do since day one. So, I guess, what I am saying is that we are all programmed and instructed from birth forward.... What makes us different are the choices we will make as an individual

As a species, we need to come up with a Net Creative usefulness. In other words, if we don't add more to the universe than we consume in resources, Nature will kill us off. It doesn't matter what methods, religions, governments, toys, roads, etc. that we come up with, because in the long run, we will only survive if we stop competing with each other and Nature and learn to live in cooperation. This doesn't mean we all have to become treehugging cave dwellers; just that we all have to consider and behave according to an overall usefulness to the environment which we need to survive. Our genetics are intricately entwined with every living thing, and our food and waste have to reflect that. If we eat artificial foods and dump artificial substances on the land which we need to produce nutrients, then eventually, we will all become too stupid and lazy to reproduce.
