The only way that could happen is if the former president were born in Great Britain and was a British subject by birth, and, had never renounced their British citizenship, or, had moved to Great Britain and lived there long enough to qualify for such, But if the laws of GB only allow a naturally born citizen to be Prime Minister, then he could not.

No. A British Prime Minister would have to be a Britain. A U.S. President would have to be born in the U.S.

I don't think Aisha's right. American presidents have to be American born but British prime ministers don't have to be British born. So there's hope for Clinton yet, if he becomes a British citizen. But not much chance for Dubya, I suspect.

If youre speaking about Clinton, i imagine he would make an impressive PM!! often speaking although, Im no longer particular. The British public are very diverse to the yank public, and it would take a real understanding of england and an knowledge of the adjustments between both populations on their section to make it paintings. i imagine that often speaking, British anybody is plenty a lot less enthusiastic and earnest than human beings and the frame of mind of a few American politicians would almost truthfully no longer paintings over right here. British politicians look so a lot extra cynical and emotionally reserved. Im particular this works any opposite direction too, i.e. our polticians would come throughout the time of as being too unenthusiastic to win as many votes as their American opposite numbers. I dont imagine 1 frame of mind is extra ideal than the different right here, i imagine they are only diverse.

I think that in order to be president, you have to have been born in the US, and in order to be prime minister you have to have been born in Britain. So I don't think it's possible.

Probably not. He would probably have to swear fealty to British Empire, and relinquish his citizenship in the US. Plus the fact that Britons probably wouldn't like to have an American as their equivalent of president.
