Our kids were all over Sims. The computer they used to play it crashed a couple of months ago. Efforts to repair it were not successful. We ended up having to purchase a new machine. We will not be loading Sims onto the new unit even though I cannot claim that Sims was responsible for the crash. Better safe than sorry (plus they spent way too much time playing the game anyhow!).

I have both Sims 1 and all expansions and Sims 2 on my computer, and have had no problems. You just need to make sure you have plenty of space on your hardrive and Ram on your computer to play it. I have 80 harddrive and 1GB Ram. The Sims is a great game and very addictive. I love it.

I'm addicted to the Sims. The only problem we've had is with trying to put in another disk after. Our computer won't recognize any other disk (after the Sims has been in) until we restart. It probably has more to do with our computer being a giant piece of filth though.

i used to play the sims on my computer and ya the only bad thing about it is that it takes up sooooo much memory. i compared it to my other programs and it was like ten times as much. its crazy. i uninstalled it cuz i was trying to put another program on my computer and needed the memory but it never ruined anything on the computer. well once it made everything big and all i had to do was restart but everytime after i closed the game everything on the regular desktop and screen was enlarged like ten times!

No. THe only bad thing is, it causes fragments on your harddrive everytime you save. So, if you run the disk defragmenter once a week, youll be fine.
