Did you have to drink a bunch of water before hand? If so, probably they could. Filling the bladder sort of illuminates the ovaries and uterus. At least I was told that by the person administering the ultrasound. All that stuff is in together.
I had about a dozen internal ultra sounds and I wondered the same thing the first time.

Yeah, I would think that they would have been able to. I remember when I went for my very first ultra sound, they did it internally. They checked everything. Including my ovaries. At that time my baby was a spot with 4 lines hanging out of it wiggling around. (it was so cool to know that was in me!) But they should have let you see the baby, if they knew you were pregnant! Ask about it next time! :)

Yes. Early pregnancy ultrasounds are usually done internally. I just had one done Monday and I am 9 weeks pregnant. I could see the baby and its hear beating.

If you are very early in pregnancy, then NO, they can't see it unless they are looking for it. If they did an external ultrasound (where they just probed outside your belly), and only poked around your ovaries area, then no, they cannot see the baby.

Yes depending on how far along you are. at five weeks it is easily noticable with ultrasound that you are pregnant. Before that it is harder to see but in the right position they will see something.

If there's one in there, sure. But if it's early they might need to know they're looking for it. :)
