Keep reminding yourself that what others say and do merely represents their OPINION and is not really the truth. Your opinion is just as valid as theirs. I grew up with a crippled right arm and suffered years of spiteful behavior from others. I finally attained the attitude that my disability did not make me less of a person. I began to realize that, scholastically --- and in musical ability, I was superior to most of my tormentors. My self esteem then enabled me to shrug off their opinions.

Well, I am super sensitive...easily hurt. Basically try to talk yourself out of reacting. Positive self talk ...example:
I have a lot to offer...My motives were good and I am not going to let this take away my courage. (think of the real qualities you have inside, and yes, you do have them.) -affirming yourself
You can use your inner power to control your reactions...Take a deep breath and move on to the next mountain. If you need to learn something, do that, and then move on.

It's...quite a havoc this way!!! But... a good confront and a thorough knowledge of the
Tone Scale can bring some magic results in similar situations!
Nothing is absolute though, unless you are Steven Seagal !!!

If you're in the workplace simply say "you'll have to excuse me I don't want anyone to see me like this here". Once you calm down the conversation can be carried on.
Everyone cries so dont be embarrassed.

remind yourself that YOU have bad days also, and that this is probally one of theirs. Also, I've learned...hurting people hurt others. Think of how THEY must hurt to want to hurt you.

I say to myself, "Relax, they can't AFFORD the rent in my brain. That requires kindness, mutual respect and courtesy and these are all things they are poor in." Or, "I guess they can't handle THEIR stress levels today."
