Most doctors recommend that you wait three months after stopping the birth control pill before trying to conceive. This gives your uterus lining time to thicken up. This will help reduce the risk of miscarriage. Just throw those pills out and use condoms for the next three months. Good Luck.

Yes, you should discontinue the pill now. My doc told me when I went off the pill with plans of getting pregnant, that you should have at least 2 cycles without the pill before trying to conceive. The breakthrough bleeding is not unusual with some birth control pills, but if you are planning to get preg, stop taking them now.
You might want to see your doc before trying to conceive and let them know about the breakthrough bleeding, as it could be related to something else other than the pill. It's best to make sure you are perfectly perfect before conceiving.

I had the same problem pill and spotting, my Gyn told me take prenatal vitamins to help the flow, because that vitamin helps a lot in a womens body even if your not pregnant. See if that helps, but if you want to conceive soon i would just get off of it, i did! Im just using condoms now, cause me and my hubby got pregnant right after the pill and i had a miscarriage im thinking it was probably the pill but we never know, but that is my assumption. Just be careful with the PILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would stop useing them right now and go to condems. I was on the BCP for 5yrs before TTC my first and it took 7mos. Check the expirey date on your pills, you might be able to keep them and use them after you have your baby. Breastfeeding alone does not prevent another pregnancy (as my DR told me at the time) that's how I got pregnant with my 2nd child when my first was only 4mos old.

Throw them out. You need to get them out of your system anyway. I think it's a great idea to toss them and use condoms until you're ready to start trying. Good luck!!

I would get rid of them now, it's good to be off of them for a while before TTC anyway and will help you determine your normal cycles which can help you plan.
Good luck!

do what's right for you. ask your ob about it, maybe they can give you a different pill. and usually they have samples, so you won't have to buy a 3 months supply for until you strat trying.
