Terril Owens couldn't handle life and so he took the cowards way out, AND HE EVEN SCREWED THAT UP!! Why is that news? If the lady down the street committed suicide you'd be lucky to read that on page 5 of your local paper. But a big football player ATTEMPTS it and it's all over the news.
Is it possible this is just a publicity stunt to get sympathy?

My apologies. I shouldn't have called him that. I realize that it may be offensive to some people, and for that I apologize.
I should have just called him a big baby.

Maybe he is a big baby.. but maybe he has a mental disorder. Most people do not attempt suicide unless they have something seriously wrong with them. My Mother is OCD, Manic, And has PTSD, she has attempted suicide many times in the past 10 years.. She does it because she wants out. Because you see when there is something mentally wrong with you, you do not see things the same way as everyone else.

I think it is a good thing that it is being brought to the public, maybe it will raise awarness for mental disorders and how badly those people need help.

I guess partly because Terrell Owens has an image of a person with a huge ego. It's hard to believe that someone like him could be hurting so bad.

I don't think it would be a publicity stunt, at least I surely hope not. That would definitely be a new low.

Terrell Owens is a public figure and therefore he is under public scrutiny. It would make sense that the media wants to focus on him. As for a regular person, it would be news but not sensational news. He's famous so the media cares. I am shocked to hear it, but has it been confirmed?

I am tired of hearing about him. I hope that after this disaster and his contract in Dalles runs out know one will want him on their team and he can go into obscurity. He has a mental disease alright and it is called stupidity. He has the ability to be one of the best wide receivers in the league if he could only shut up and do his job. What a waste of talent!!!!
