I would never argue with a person about their weight. Not even if a person twice my size says they weigh the same as I do, and that has happened. It's hard being over weight, and there is a lot of denial going on with these people. Why upset them further just to prove a point?

if they said that, its because you just called them obese or fat or something
which you shouldn't have done
you don't call a blind person hey blinkie, or a person of a different race a name do you?
but, now that you have,
they have given you a way out of the fax paus,
you just giggle, laugh, or say something like
oh!
unless you are actually TRYING to insult them
and then you say
Oh, so thats that heavy water I hear about.
or
at least one of us beleives it

Why do you need to be talking to them about their weight? I can't imagine where that would come into play unless you brought it up. If you did, shame on you. If they did, well then they are just in denial and they'll have to figure it out, but it's not your place to say a damn thing.
