The firing order is the same for ALL Chevy V-8s.
1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2
The odd numbers are on the left (driver's) side, starting from the front. 1-3-5-7
The even numbers are on the right (passenger's0 side from the front. 2-4-6-8

The firing order should be casted on the intake manifold toward the front, but I agree with the other person call the dealer or Murray's auto should be able to help.

As the above have stated firing order and distributor rotation. Number 1 on the cap will be pointing in the direction of cylinder # 1, which is the front cylinder on the drivers side.
