The brain just needs a fresh blood supply. If someone's heart stops, for example, CPR works by taking the place of the heart. The pumping that the CPR volunteer does on the person pumps fresh blood around the person's body, including the brain. Other than that, I don't see how the brain would survive without the heart.

I do not think that the brain can survive for long without the heart - but this site is proof that people can survive without a brain

How can a brain survive without a heart, if it is not supplied blood?

If you can substitute any other liquid, instead of blood which can function like blood, then it is well and fine.

It cant, but when we die we have about 15 min of brain activity after mortum stage, but this is just polarized ions.
